Elginfield Road, Parkhill, Ontario – Propane Tank Concrete Pad Assessment
GSPrimo conducted a subsurface investigation and bearing capacity assessment for a proposed concrete pad supporting a propane tank at a property on Elginfield Road in Parkhill, Ontario. The assessment was required to evaluate soil conditions beneath an exterior foundation element.
The investigation involved Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing within test pits to assess soil strength and identify unsuitable fill materials. GSPrimo evaluated both fill and native soil conditions and provided engineering recommendations to ensure adequate bearing support for the proposed pad. The work helped mitigate structural risk and supported safe installation of the propane tank foundation.
